EDUCATION / CREDENTIALS
I obtained my Bachelor's in Accounting and completed my Master's equivalent at Marshall University.
I am an Enrolled Agent (EA). Enrolled Agents have unlimited practice rights which means they are unrestricted as to which taxpayers they can represent, what types of tax matters they can handle, and which IRS offices they can represent clients before. It is the highest credential awarded by the IRS. The EA credential is recognized across all 50 states whereas CPAs are licensed and regulated on a state by state basis.
BACKGROUND
Originally from the Cleveland, Ohio area I moved to Huntington in 2002. I was employed by John Whitfield, CPA as a Staff Accountant from 2003 until his retirement in 2012 when I continued the practice as Rooney Financial LLC.
